I took a look at a screen shot of the Sylenth1 V1 Vsti.
It has 2 independent mod envelopes. Why doesn't the Virus TI have
independent mod envelopes?
I mean you can use the Amp Envelope or the Filter Envelope
in the Mod matrix as a mod envelope, but you are dependent
on the ADSRs you set for the volume and the filter.
Is there an extra advantage of having 2 independent mod envelopes?I
Would be nice to have more envelopes.
The Korg Z1 for instance had five fully-featured envelope generators. One was hardwired to the amplifier, but the other four were free to be assigned to anything.
Naturally the two EGs anyone uses the most are the Amp and Filter envelopes, so maybe Access employed just these two to make programming slightly easier and quicker. You can also use the LFOs as one-shot envelope generators too, and playing with the LFO contours gives you extra scope in doing so.
But any extra freely assignable EGs (and LFOs) to play with would always be welcome.

You can use your LFOs as mod envelopes. See page 83 "Envelope mode" of the TI1 manual.
The LFO effectively becomes an additional Envelope.
LFOs in Envelope Mode are unipolar (see glossary) and stop
after completing exactly one cycle. The start/finish point
within the wave can be specified via Trigger Phase...
I find it extremly clumsy but hey, it works most times.
However, if somebody is able to recreate the Sylenth1 factory preset "dominator" on a Virus I'd be very happy for a quick note.

The hoover? Just use a couple hypersaw with an envelope on Transpose (so it shifts the pitch for everything)
