I'm planning to order a Virus in the next few days. I'm leaning towards getting the keyboard version IF I can fit my QWERTY keyboard on top of the open area.
Would anyone be able to measure the height and width of that open area? Also, I'm open to any thoughts/opinions on placing a QWERTY keyboard there, in terms of comfort/ergonomics.'

Thanks!

unless you plan on playing the upper register of the 61 key all the time, I cannot imagine this is a very ergonomic appoach.

better off getting a keyboard tray to go under your desk

as far as measuring the space on a 61 TI.. I have a polar.. sorry

Hi Vinay

That space is easily big enough for a reasonably compact keyboard and it measures 180 x 490 mm :D

I use one up there on my live shows all the time. It fits just fine, you need to extend the little legs on the back of the QWERTY board and hook them over the back edge or it will keep sliding down on you. I'm thinking of getting an mini QWERTY so I can fit my mouse up there as well.
