Access can't seem to figure the problem out. every time i try to plug it into my mac mini it says its drawing to much power and won't work . i have tried unplugging everything and it still won't work. i got the same notice on my macbook pro but it was still recognized. has anyone had this problem? i have a project i am suppose to be working on and i am very frustrated. if anyone has any idea how to fix this please contact me . thank you

Weird that it's happening across 2 machines. I know some Macs had issues with USB not supplying enough power for most devices, but the Virus shouldn't be pulling any USB power anyways.

I'd try using a powered USB 2.0 hub and seeing if that works. If it's still happening across 2 computers with a USB hub, I'd say it's a faulty Virus (which isn't unheard of, but still pretty rare).

the virus doesn't pull any power from the USB bus. the USB device descriptor if the virus lists it as a device that doesn't consume power. you can verify this in system profiler.

Does that mean that the USB hub would not be a viable troubleshooting step, given the symptoms?

i wouldn't know, since this does not happen here. i would give it a try though.
