Hey.. I have only had my virus Ti 2 polar for a few days and i am having a bit of a nightmare setting it up. I have tried reading the manual but nothing indicates what is the best way for me.

I am currently running on Cubase 6, iMac 27'' - M-audio 410 firewire interface with 2 outputs to my yamaha hs80m's. A behringer umx610 & of course my Virus.

I currently have it set up so iMac > Firewire to M-audio > Yamaha Monitors. With my Behringer & my virus plugged in via USB.

With the virus currently i can only have 3 output channels to put insert effects on (USB L&R 1,2 & 3.) But i want more.. Just a couple of questions really

1. Is there a way of achieving more output channels to add insert fx on with the set up i have?

2. Or even if there isn't should i have my set up so its sort of like Anologue Output of virus > Input on soundcard > Imac. To get the best results?

3. Would you recommend me keeping my m-audio as i now have the virus ti which does act as a soundcard i am under the understanding?

Thanks a lot for your time & patience - i have read the manual - watched tutorials for virus & cubase 6 but still cannot make heads or tail of it - thanks!

You can make a "External Instrument" in Cubase.
Look in the Cubase manual.
Basically dedicate some analogue inputs on you M-audio for Virus Ti Outputs.
In Cubase you load your Virust Ti vsti and then load the "external instrument" vsti. Assign different parts on the VC usb1, usb2, usb3, ana1, ana2, ana3 etc
You will find that the analog coming into Cubase is "in front" or ahead in time. I place a simple delay vst to compensate.
Good Luck, your going to need it.
I used to use at least 4 or so outputs in various combinations but now I mostly confine myself to USB channels now days, and barely go past USB1.
Just use virus sounds pure and only a few at a time.
