I found a vocal used by teebee a while back from the track "Dimentional Entity".Anyway it was one of my favorites back in the day so i had to fuck around with it. Got inspired by him coming to toronto next month. It's gotta be mixed down and mastered but i think it's sounding ok.Let me know what you think http://soundcloud.com/phobic-dubz/dimentia-wav

I think you'll find a lot of other artists have used samples from Roberta Flacks classic 'First time ever I saw your face' long before teebee, Way out West spring to mind. Some are good, some are mediocre & some completely murder a beautiful song.

She actually popularized the song in the 70's but it was around before well before her. Beautiful song none the less. the version i used was sang by leona lewis in the 80's i believe. i'm also am a fan of the johnny cash version.

Leona Lewis sang that in the 80's, are you sure?

According to her wikipedia page she wasn't born until 1985 ;)

I actually didn't mean to say Leona Lewis. i meant to say Joanna Law who released her version in 1990. I thought i was going nuts. could have sworn the accapella i used was at least 20 years old as the record was lieing around in my uncles house for ever.
