Hi guys,

1. I'm current using my TI polar as soundcard (the only I have for the moment) and I was wondering how I could record internet sounds (youtube, for example) through Cubase 5. Any of you have tried that already? I'm not able to route windows (wave) sound to be recorded in Cubase.

2. More one thing, is there any way to separate master knob volume from the preset volume? I mean, by increasing the master knob volume I also increase the whole mix volume and sometimes only the patch's volume needs some tuning.... by the way, I'm new to TI world. Just upgraded from virus classic version.

3. Is there any recommended soundcard/chip/driver to work with Virus TI; pci, firewire, usb? I've heard that Windows/E-mu soundcards, in general, aren't the best choice...

Thanks!!

I have used my ti (1) polar as my sound card and I use Cubase 5

there is a little bit more latency when you use the virus as a soundcard, but it's not too bad on my system (2.1 Core 2 duo and 4gb ram)

you can use the virus control to adjust the patch volume on each patch 1-16

if you are trying to record off youtube and other sources that are in your computer you should probably use a 3rd party application. there are many free ones out there.

hope that helps
