Hi there, I tried asking this on the Official Virus forum with no response at all so I'm trying my luck here..

I own both a Virus B, and much more recently a Virus TI Polar. Basically what I want to do is to be able to get the ROM patches from the B and use them on my TI. I have a number of productions that once used the ROM sounds from my Virus B, and I'd like to use the same sounds for my live performances without using sampled audio so I'd like to be able to load them into my TI.

Is there anywhere which already has the old ROM patches uploaded an easy way to extract the ROM patches from the older models?

thanks in advance guys

Well you did get a couple of answers.
But anyway, you can do sysex dumps of the banks, should work.
Or if you got Sound Diver installed you can export patches as .mid files, have tried this myself.

Yeah those answers came 4 hours after I posted this thread, the one of the Access forums had been there a few days, how about that for timing!

I was wondering about that but I also thought we only had access to banks A and B, I want access to download all the other banks also.. I'll look into it though..

Had a quick check and it seems that you can only select A/B banks to dump.
But sound diver should still work, I guess, haven't tried it on the C-H banks.

Had a response from Access support and they tell me that the best way is to hook the midi out of my B to the midi in of my TI and do a single dump for each bank and write onto the RAM banks of my TI. Sounds a little long winded but at least it sounds easy to do, I very well might have a go at it tonight and see if it works!
