Hey :), new to the forum here..

I own a virus ti polar and i would like to use some of the knobs on it to control my macro's on massive and other MIDI Learn functions in other applications.

This works just fine when i don't have the virus loaded as a VST in my logic session, however when i load up the virus to use for sounds etc. It no longer lets me use the MIDI function on other applications..

Am i right in saying that you can only have one or the other? And that if i want to have both i need to purchase a 2nd MIDI controller like the novation nocturn?

Thanks :)

Mike.

I believe that is correct, but wait for more knowledgable responders.

Haven't tried this, more of a theoretical thought.
Can you open the TI and use a midi channel not used for the project by virus and use the vst instrument (i.e. Massive) on the same channel?
