does it run properly on Windows 7?

Think it does. If it doesn't, take a look at this:

This is a good editor and it can replace the functionality of the sound driver.
And there's also this one, but it's diferent. You get a vst/au editor for the Virus, also able to store presets inside projects (like TI line), so forth and so on.

does it run properly on Windows 7?
SoundDiver's not been supported since 2002 when Apple took over and dropped all support for it, but it works well on my Vista64, so it should work on Win7.
If in the event it doesn't, you can try right-clicking on the icon (once installed), select Properties, then Compatibility, then select "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP Service Pack 2 (or 3, or whatever is similar)", select OK, then try launching the program.

update: for whatever reason i was never able to get Soundiver to work in either Windows XP or Windows 7.
it does however work like a charm in Windows 8.
'twas a nice surprise. :)
ps: i'm using a Motu Micro Lite as my MIDI interface
