can't seem to figure out where to change the Mono mode on the ti2.

don't want the legato mono mode.

went into the main edit menu, the config menu, and the osc. edit menu.

how/where do i change it?!

thanks!

Access support told me it's in the main edit menu just left of the display.

i swear it's not. i know how to navigate through those menus.

is it possible that this is an unavailable feature from the standalone synth on my operating system?

os 4.0.5.01

i just bought the polar new from AMS.

i hope it's not an os problem.

i'm having a hell of a time signing into Access to download the current os.

anyone? anything?

figured it out.

hold shift and press mono to scroll through the various modes

had to go to the ti (as opposed to the included ti2) manual.

strange they left so much out of the included ti2 Reference Manual and Quickstart Manual.

oh well!

it actually took some time for me to like it unlike the virus c.
i loved virus C right away.

while some initially call the virus C "dark" i initially found the ti2 to be muted and not harmonically rich. turned out to be a fault in the presets though.
the presets are especially lackluster and it took some for the ti2 to reveal itself. others may feel differently but that was my experience.

the interface is really wonderful and some features that i objected to before having tried the ti2 were washed away and he interface choices suddenly made sense.

for instance, i've always disliked that the virus C doesn't have an amount knob in the LFO section and wondered at the missed opportunity of not correcting this flaw in the ti/ti2. i still would love one on the virus C but in the ti2 an amount knob would be unnecessary and would actually be limiting.

still, some things make no sense. for 1...why is the delay time not given a dedicated knob but instead relegated to the 2nd page of delay parameters?! yes, there's a tap function but i've always hated tapping in delay times.
also there, are a lot of functions not available to the 3 soft knobs. i know there are ways around this but i would've preferred being able to choose them directly. still no user definable categories. it's easy to confuse RAM A, B and C with ROM A, B and C.
blah, blah, blah, little gripes here and there but all in all i've really grown to love it. not enough to get rid of my Redback mind you, but still.

apologies for bumping a old thread but I found myself searching google for the same thing (after not using the VirusTI for a long time).

Was trying to figure out how to change key mode via the hardware interface.

You can also change the key mode by pressing the oscillator Edit button twice, its a little confusing because theres no real visual representation to say your on a new edit page, you just need to be paying close attention & hopefully notice the new parameters that are showing.

Pretty much all of the edit buttons have multiple edit layers accessed by pressing edit button more then once.
