So here's a remix for a track I originally signed to Bonzai records and even after signing a contract they ended up not releasing it so this remix was shelved half finished. I came across it again last week & thought it was worth finishing so I dusted it off, added some stuff & mastered it. It is a bit of old skool rave that is bass heavy & squarely aimed at the dance floor. Lot's of very low freq's that you wont get through headphones...10' woofers are the minimum, Lol. It starts with a DJ friendly 16 bar intro which slips into a steady groove that slowly builds to a peak that then descends into a long dark break which introduces the female vocal hook & emerges back out of the other side into the groove once more that brings it to another peak then back into the mix out. XTC music all the way http://www.cosm.co.nz/media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png

So here's a video I made for the track. In keeping with the spirit & title of the thing it feature's old footage of some of the party's that happened in & around the north west of England in the late 80's/early nineties where I grew up. All ripped from old VHS & definitely very amateur so the quality is a bit sketchy but you'll get the general idea. Any comments welcome. Reach for the laser's...safe as fuck ; )

Loved the 80's!! Every time I hear or read the word 'laser' it brings me to the first "Austin Powers" movie and Dr. Evil's enunciation of word *laser*...:D

Love the informative historical acknowledgment of what was going on at that time as far as economy and "illegal warehouse rave parties"...my eyes and brain no longer enjoy strobes and lasers after my particular military experiences...no worries, no PTSD incidents and the cat was not harmed!:D

Turned 50 today...did I mention I really am fond of the 80's?? However, will freely admit I had more 'Goth affiliation' rather than anywhere near a rave.
