No output on

I bought a Virus B on ebay recently. Out of the box I only have output from the R mono channel. I've played around and found I can select outputs through the control menu. If I select Second Output L+R - still no left output. If however I define a second output to L+R now I have stereo out. BUT the master vol only applies to apply to the r/mono channel. Is there anyway that I can have outs from the L+R of Output 1?
