I have always just used the free Sounddiver software that came with my classic but I want to upgrade my computer to Mountain Lion and it is not supported in that OS.

Anyone know of a good inexpensive editor that will work. I mainly just want to be able to choose and load patches from my collection.

Thanks,

Timo

The main one I know of that works on Mac is ReKon Audio. However it's not necessarily inexpensive ($70).

After a quick Google I noticed a free open source alternative to SoundDiver using Ctrlr:

There is another for PC and Mac called MidiQuest, but it's ridiculously expensive.

The only other one I knew of was Solar3d-Software, but it's PC only unfortunately. http://www.solar3d-software.com/screenshots.php.

PS: Haven't personally tried any of the above - I'm still also using SoundDiver on PC!

Thanks for posting those suggestions. At this point I have been unable to get my ProTools LE 8.0.5 with Digi 002 system to play nice with Mountain Lion (actually it won't work at all) so I can still use the original SoundDiver since I am stuck on Snow Leopard but I am going to look into those other two you mentioned to see if they are a little more usable compared with SounDiver. MidiQuest is a total rip off for that price, at least for the limited functionality I need.
