hi
wonder if anyone knows something i can apply to an old Roland SH-2 to slow the rust on the front panel. It is crazing with tiny rust trails.
cheers

To slow the rust, solve the humidity issue that's leading to it. Dewpoint wherever it is stored is too high.

good point.
has been sitting below a large window which gets a fair bit of condensation on it in winter.

On the inside of the window? (I'm guessing so since you said winter). Definitely too moist inside then. I've got a humidifier inside the home but I try not to let it get above 35% RH or so inside on the really cold days. Most likely if it's naturally that humid inside in the winter, you'll probably want to measure RH in the summer too, and either turn the A/C up or use a dehumidifier. Not just for rust but mold, health reasons, property damage, etc. Humidity can be a bitch.

You can also try a little vinegar to get some of the surface rust off but that can take patience sometimes.

arh, very good point the de-humidifyer, we had a mould problem in our built in. It messes with my sinuses. Might look into de-humidifer
