updating OS -> Virus Control Crash -> TI2 won't boot

i tried to update the OS in virus control and it crashed in the middle of it.

now the TI2 won't boot at all.

it just shows a blank screen when plugged in and turned on.

anyone know how to fix this?


i've already tried unplugging, holding EXIT and then plugging in the power.

doesn't fix the problem

Have you tried removing all cables, and leaving the Virus off for 2 minutes? Also says you need to hold down the Exit button until it asks to update (10 seconds or more) rather than pressing it only briefly, if you haven't already done that.

I know it's similar to what you already tried, but those points were mentioned so could be crucial.

To hard reset your Virus:

• Remove every cable (inc. power)
• Leave Virus off for 2 minutes
• Connect power while holding down 'Exit' button until it asks to update

I believe carrying out a system reset is similar to the above but involves holding down the Arp button during a 'soft' power-on (both Transpose keys). Be warned, your config and patches could possibly be erased in doing so, but I can't be sure as I haven't tried it yet (only going on what I've seen on other synths), hence the warning.
