Well first of all thank christ someone else has put some music up here. I was thinking that we may have to change the name from 'the forum members music' to 'What Berni's done this month' Lol.
Personally I gave up on trance a long time ago but this track had some good ideas. Definitely could have used some pro mastering though, sounded a bit thin. Just my 2c.

LOL Hey Berni, Trust your well, been keeping a track of you SC posts :)
Well I got a few new toys recently and managed to get a relatively reasonable trance track out of my system. Been trying to achieve this for a while and hopefully hit home.
Appreciate your comments on the lack of density. Redoing it now and reposting, was struggling with the dynamics of the kick and bass, however think the rework has resolved this and hopefully beefed it up somewhat, was listening to this version today in the car and your comment echoes my thought. To much top end.
The leads are a combo of omisphere, virus ti and serum [really like serum and feel its a great compliment to work alongside the TI).
Thanks for listening in :)

Reworked the bass line and kik last night. Overlayed the original bass with a nice bounce bass in serum and eq's the low end and mids and blended the two into a sub group. The kik had the same treat ment as I'd lost the definition of the kicks, these are now back in the mix with some prescence with a tigther dynamic of eq and punch.
Mixed and faded a few more parts of the main lead in the mid sectionbreak to reduce the impact of a sudden loudness spike.
Mixdown at a lower db and exported with some more thoughtful master eq (Eiosis air), compression and console working with the modern white in Nebula.
I feel it's now got a more balanced blend and hopefully sounds more mastered.
Hopefully some people enjoy the finished result...need to move onto the next

Need some views on this mix.
Overall impression.
Beats sitting in with bass and dhords/leads?
Mix and weight ok?
Reverb to muddy, ok or needs reducing with some sidechain to cut it?
