Hi all, I have just gought a Virus KB, got it home to notice all the sound names single or multi are scrambled, there is also no output from the synth at all, however I turn knobs etc.. nothing..

I has been suggested its the internal battery? Is this correct.

Thanks in advance...

Quite possibly the battery, and cheapest fix if so. When did you last change it?

Do you have any other messages like "Initialize Global Memory" or "Load Bank A with Factory Sounds?"

Read this thread, it's slightly different though as I could get sound out of when my battery died. http://infekted.org/virus/showthread.php?p=306036#post306036

It's a CR2032 3-Volt lithium battery (it looks like a large flat button), readily available at supermarkets. Get a good one, made by Panasonic or similar.

no messages on power up, just scrambled preset names and no sound.

I have just bought the synth and it is as described above, no idea when the battery was last changed

thanks

Try holding down the LFO Shape button while turning the Virus on, for a factory reset.

sorted, battery in all single sounds are back, no multis as yet

So all the single sounds are working.
When I switch to multi sounds, than names are there, but no sound.
Have I missed something?
