i only use my MD to record real world samples out of the house....

so i usually noise gate, eq and normailize those samples after ive recorded them on the computer, then i send them via scuzzi to my sampler.....

as far as using it as a standalone instrument of sorts, i dont....maybe if i could send digital out from my MD i would...but i only have digiatl in on mine..
