juho is right - most LCD's I've seen do that in the cold. My Nokia cell phone does exactly the same thing if I've left it out in the car overnight -even after letting it warm up for 10-15 minutes before turning it on. (It's a green LCD display)

I'm in Canada so we know cold here too!

Same Here........

Search tool is working......
Anyways, I just got the C and when I turn it on the exact same thing happens. Slow display for a few minutes then all is fine.
Mine is a Refurb so I was hoping it wasn't defective. Kinda Sux to see others having this "Issue"

Other than that I upgraded the OS, Installed new Patches, Created new Libraries via SoundDiver all this within a week. I'm lovin' it.
Now time to Infect the World !!

Muahahahahaha......

Yep, got my VC back about a week or 2 ago. I was lucky I took a small digital video of the problem in action, because when they recieved the VC they said they couldn't find the trouble. But when they watched the video they could see the trouble clearly. So they sent me a new one.

One thing though, the new one has really sticky output/input jacks! I am a little pissed off about that to tell you the truth, but I don't want to send it away for 2 more months! If those inputs and outputs die on me though, there will be some negative spam.

(explanation of the original prob here; http://www.sinesub.com/virusforum/vi...0b242272bf41b6 )

Remind me by PM in about a week or so regarding the samples of the NL2. I'll be happy to put some up. I'm busy at the moment, so I wont get a chance this week, and I'll forget by next week! hehe

What does stick output/input Jacks mean? DO u mean that its a bit of a tight squeeze? Considering the Jacks are not secured to chassis...u want to be careful not to stress them. Well HC, welcome to my 5 KC hell.

I bought my first Virus KC 31st May 2003. I recieved my 5th KC last week. Hopefully I canow get on and enjoy the synth for what it is without having to send it back! Negative spam?! I can feel your pain......maybe you can begin to feel mine lol!

One positive thing about ur new VC is that the Headphone socket has alot more clarity now. THey have adressed the noisy headphone issue.

I've been experiencing the slow display problem since I put my Virus C in my music school - the premises have been getting very cold during the night. I don't consider it an issue though - after a few minutes warming up it responds just as quickly as it used to at home.

Sorry Ben, DS and I aren't talking about the screen warm-up anymore.

We are talking about the problem I had concerning the LEDs. When I recieved my new VC from the warrenty return the Inputs/Outputs are really tight (Yep a tight squeeze DS - I'm scared to unplug/plug cables in them, that's how tight they are) - and how that has pissed me off, because it took a long time to recieve it, I don't want to send it off again. Maybe Access could send me another, then I'll send this one off when it arrives?

Also another thing Access should talk to the people in Japan about - When I sent the VC off, I wrapped it in alot of bubble wrap and made sure when it was in transit it wouldn't move around, but on the way back it was loose in the box! I was surprised it made it honestly.

Here is the original problem I had. http://www.sunesha.nu/virusforum/viewtopic.php?t=1961
