Thanks Ibunshi!

Unfortunately I could not DL any content within Opera, but I will try a new browser - fingers crossed!

EDIT: I seem to be getting "no available server" messages. Real shame too, as there looks to be some very cool stuff on there. :(

Could it be becuase I am in Japan by any chance?

Ibunshi 11.07.2008 09:09 AM

not sure why that happens, maybe there was lots of traffic when you tried or something, dont think they would completely cut off japan.. i think some places give limited amount of bandwidth to be used for different countries, depending on the amount of users that come there and where thay're from.. maybe try again later..

while you're waiting..

this place has a buttload of samples too: http://www.darkbeats.com/sampleswap/

also: http://www.dnbwiki.com/index.php/Free_Samples

however, alot of the links at the dnbwiki page just leads to the filefront site, but there should be other stuff too, samples hosted at other places..

Thanks Ibunshi! I will take a look.

I just went halves with a mate and bought some sample disks actually. Got some from EastWest, Big Fish, and Zero-G. Some very cool stuff in these! It's keeping me occupied. :)

Great lists and wealth of info here, thanks all! Thought I'd mention that Hollow Sun were commissioned by Alesis in producing plethora of wav format sample sound banks (free) for the Alesis Fusion Workstation and you can download those 20 banks at Alesis.com under legacy equipment/Fusion, as they are really great soundbanks and is real reason I still keep Fusion 6HD, plus it has ADAT LightPipe SPDIF and hard disc recording--FYI!
