I'd buy one if that becomes a commercial product. Without hesitation.

We heard back from the Lady Limor: (on the Dutch Synth Forum)

We are in the process of ordering the 100 kits worth of parts. we have the special japanese transistors but we have to get the capacitors, resistors, buttons, etc...This will take a week (there are a lot of parts! 200!) We designed this synth specifically with the intent of selling many kits to people at a low cost. Thats why we used through hole components and an easily available case. Thats also why its kinda ugly
There will be a beta test, (probably 2 or 3 weeks) and then we will start selling kits. I hope we will have things ready in (late) March.
The synth schematic will be available very soon.
Also, I'm adding DINSYNC out so that we can slave a real 303 to the clone and have them play the same track. Then we'll put up a video of the two playing. This will probably happen later this week. I've been working on this project for nearly a year now (and my partner has been building 303 clones for many years) so I would greatly like to finish it off real soon now...We will be posting news about the final steps of this project to the website and ill send mail to everyone who has sent email to me requesting information when we put up the video/samples.

And once more via email:

Quote:

hi everyone. i've finally found a permanent (and hopefully less flaky)
home for my stuff including x0xb0x at ladyada.net. when referring the
the x0xb0x page please point to:
-> http://www.ladyada.net/make/x0xb0x
instead of the one at media.mit.edu. thanks!

I've also made an announce mailing list for x0xb0x. If you would like
to receive 'weekly' (if not less frequent) announcements about updates
to the website, or release notes, etc. please send mail to:
-> x0xb0x-announce-subscribe@ladyada.net
and follow the subscription directions. it is a moderated list, and
not for discussion! you do not have to be on the list to buy a x0xb0x,
its just for people to get notices and information as it is released

if you are receiving this email and have sent me an email explicitly
requesting to be on the waiting list then you are guaranteed one of
the first 100 kits sold. we have sent out for the beta-test PCBs
(third revision hardware) and expect them back on friday. we are still
shooting for late march or early april release, depending on how the
beta test goes.

word!
