RackXL - What a great first synth to own....second was Motif Rack

I can't understand why people think it's a good controller; Bad keyboard and even worse knobs.

The VA was ok, but i just didn't like it's sound

A Yamaha PSS-470, with blippy/bloopy bossanova rhythms and one-finger accompaniment, oh yeah! I was only 7.

...followed by a Yamaha PSR-300 about 7 years later.

First proper synth was a Korg TrinityV3 in 1998 bought with my first pay-checks.

Alesis QS7. Classic synth, crappy touch, good organs & piano.

Access Virus C! :twisted: Been infected for over 5 months now. It's the only hardware synth I own.

Virus A. I cant elieve I traded it for a Korg prophecy either!!! I must have been drinking that day.

Roland JX-3P, fat analog subtractive
Then a JD-800, PCM subtractive, with wicked distortion ala 'vodoo people'

Bloody nice first synths there! Specially the JD - still have it? I've been keeping an eye out for a cheap JD990 for a while now.

While I always enjoyed electronic music, I suppose my first synthesizer experience was a roland JP8000 at a music shop. Playing with the filters was wow-ing, and the arpreggiated bass patch (A01?) was delightful.

Digital vaporizers

My first "synth" was a Roland EG-101. It?s supposed to be a synth with MC-303s sounds in it. I used it for a few months and trated it for Emu Orbit 9090. Very smart trade I?d say.
