What did the review say?

There are two german magacines that release a review in their next issue, I'm gonna post here the result...

Just picked up the SOS TI review folks...

They reviewed version 1.02 on an Access Virus Polar Ti. Overall the review is constructive and is very favourable of the Ti. But it does clearly highlight the issues involving: -

No remote mode (as of yet)
No freeze function (as of yet)
Various bugs/glitches etc...

I think from what I have read it appears that Access have led the boys at SOS to believe that all the issues will be resolved in the very near future. And there was a footnote announcing the release of V1.03 software.

If the latest issues were free immediately then no-one would buy the mag, uncluding all the Brits, unfort'. All articles become unlocked after six months, i think.

I prefer mine on Paper so i can take it to work (Saves me having to listen to the Germans complaining all day) and also take it to the bog when i go for a turd .......

very cool - looking forward to reading. Though I don't remember how stable 1.02 was :?

That's good news. I was worried they were going to give a bad review.

Who was the reviewer by the way?

Did SOS get a free Polar for keeps ?

Mark Wherry, with an excerpt from Derek Johnson. I suspect if it was Gordon Reid it would've been a different story.

No, they always make a habit of sending stuff back. Or the reviewer puts their money where their mouth is and buys the review/demo product.

Due to obvious copyright restrictions, that's not going to happen.

It does mention the latency wasn't too good (at 4ms and 5ms for in/out on Cubase (PC), and 3ms on Logic (Mac)), that the remote mode is currently disabled, mentions the "drunken arp" (from these forums!), blah blah blah. But doesn't overly dwell on these issues.

Otherwise, TBH, it basically describes and details the ins and outs of all of the functions of the TI, and the overall 'personal impression' side of things are good.
