No, havn`t tried that one yet.
in any case, my Daw has been very stable running the RME card so far. RME also has a longstanding reputation of having the best ASIO hardware in the business... Best, midi. |
The longest shot Yet  For some reason a/some patches in our patches folder were stopping our save button from working (Its true !)
temporarily take them out apart from the ones that come with the Ti.. I know, its a real long shot...........Now i'm just getting desperate :? |

I hope your friend would understand... Best, midi. |
As far as I know SP2 updates major security issues, but why upgrade a stable DAW which never connects to internet? If it aint broke dont fix it, I'm running SX2 atm with SP1a and sometimes i forget to save my song beacuse i do not experience any crash at all.. SX3 is unstable yet so I'm running my Ti with SX2 and have only some well known timing issues. Hope access will pay attention to develop a stable virus control that works on any host. I dont see any point upgrading my rig just for 1 plugin and then mess all the others. No risk-great fun

Today I accidentally got sample accurate timing.
Try this. I had a song I was working on in Cubase with virus control, I was laying down each TI part to a wave file and it was questionable midi timing for arps and even just sequenced parts. Error range of under 10 ms plus or minus. Then in desperation to try to find the best timing, this happened. I was trying to 'hot unplug' the USB with Cubase open to test regular midi cable and after that plugged the USB back in. Loaded virus control fresh opened my saved fxp file of the session and continued to capture wave files. THE VERY NEXT TRACK WAS A TI KIK DRUM AND IT WAS IN SAMPLE ACCURATE TIMING!!!! For the whole 5 minute track. I did it a few times to make sure it wasn't a fluke. So I'm not sure the the #@$ is going on but maybe it's because Cubase is open when you plug in the USB this prevents the TI from loading lots of other audio and midi stuff. Anyway back I go. |
Thanks grs, will try.
my only concern is how healthy is it for your TI (or system) to 'hot plug' the USB link in this manner? Best, midi. |
It's not used for power, just make sure you touch the metal of the usb cable with one hand and the TI with the other hand before plugging back in to avoid static discharge.
