But i have upgraded my version of Cubase from SE to SL3 and now i don't have the same problem with the volume as before, strange...

Also gain and compression can do a hole lot so i guess i can live with the fact that the internal plug-ins are a bit louder. As long as the TI can reach 0.0 then im happy
