Great man! Life is grand in NYC. Just finding the time to dig back into music, and my friend and I have been recording some folkish types songs. School is keeping me busy otherwise.

Hey Merlot, glad to hear you are really enjoying the city.

It's been a couple of years since I have been there, but one of my old
favorite pubs/bars is a place called Double Happiness on Mott Street.
It has a very cool chilled out atmosphere and hosts some very talented local bands. Check it out when you get a chance.

My fave NY bar was on 3rd and 18th. Fat Tuesdays. I met a New Yorker 3 weeks ago who told me it had gone. Fuck. It was great. Has it really gone? We saw Oscar Peterson in there. We'd been staying in some horrible Bukowski flop joint nearby and that was our local. Full of girls in their 50's who were so sweet:

You went up the Empire State? Brenda, you ever been up there? No. I forget it's there. You did what?? Coney Island? My God! And you're still alive? Hey, see them two old boys over there? They've been gay since 1954. England? You boys don't look gay.

NYC was the best place I've ever been in my life. We walked through every part of Manhattan, no probs. Everybody was incredibly kind.

Matsa: Thats how it was before i moved out here. Now that I have been out here, i have got into the same hustle and bustle that everyone else is in and dont really take the time to stop and look around. Except for the weekend's that is!
