Thanks for the kind comments everyone!

Unfortunately i have to make a new one (adjustable angle!)
because there is so many desktop unit i have to build a different angled table and the virus will lean forward.

If anyone happens to have a spectralis or other unit that might fit and a virus TI desktop they are yours for postage. (if its not a spectralis u need to drill some holes)

note it will NOT fit rackmount units directly. they have to have removable rack ears and the holes for the rack ears are what you would use.

and the bottom unit has to support the entire thing. for instance the spectralis has feet on the bottom and its "sides" are supporting the virus.

The Blacksmith got back to me - there was quite a delay due to the festive period and a bout of bad health.

He says:

"Having had a bit of a think about it, would you be happy if metal ends were attached on to the wooden ends, as this would leave the fixings onto the synthesizer in place? Let me know what you think."

I don't really like the idea of clip-ons though..
