If you knew it is for 25% more dsp power now but more in the future it would probably sway the argument. If its 25% now and no more then it's probably easier to accept the existing rig

The TI|2 seems more like a product refresh than an actual "upgrade" or "new version". It doesn't seem to be marketed towards existing TI owners. It's kind of like going from a 2007 model of a car to a 2009. Are you really gonna sell your 2 year old car for the latest model?

What this looks like is Access refreshing their flagship synthesizer to reel in new customers. People that may have passed up on it for the past couple of years may be more attracted to it now that there are some slight hardware upgrades as well as new software. Brand new users just might be more attracted to the total package that OS 2.x and now 3.0 has introduced.

What I am really impressed by, though, is that Access is still making the TI software compatible between both versions. To me, this shows that they want to keep the original TI owners in for the long haul. Kudos!

What I am surprised to see is the Ti2 still doesn't have a dedicated power switch! Doh!
