If you're 100% sure it's no longer sending the audio through USB, but still getting latency issues, you've got some other issue going on there that is not USB related. USB should be able to handle the MIDI data no problem.

I'm not sure how to do that in FL Studio. I followed the manual and set it to the exact settings it listed.

After changing the USB port the Virus IS now in sync with the beat, however I get about a 2 second delay before any audio starts playing. This is making it difficult to create grooves / melodies. Also, selecting any new preset or turning a knob has the same delay

It has nothing to do with the DAW you're using, it's a setting in the plugin itself. Next to the patch name it likely says USB L+R, change that to OUT1 L+R. Go into "Patch Utility" and make sure you're not using USB. At least that's what I was referring to.

In FL you have to make sure you've got the audio from the interface going to a mixer track.

Just checked. It has been in Output1 L + R. I have also loaded the virus into a mixer track but still getting about a 2 second delay on any changes made within FL Studio.

Hope you had a great Easter!

A 2 second delay is way beyond the very worst I ever saw in FL. Something else is going on there, and I'm just not sure what to tell you to try next. Maybe a audio interface driver combination problem? I could only suggest process of elimination. Good news I guess is I don't think it's your Virus and not FL itself.

Looks like I'm going to call them. It's a shame because after playing around with it I really don't want to have to return it because it sounds so damn good haha.

Yeah it would be a real waste to return it only to find out you really only need a new audio interface or something. I think whatever it is you'll need to sort out if you want to move into hardware anyway.
