Its the little blue usb protection device used to try and prevent the piracy of Steinberg products. You should have one of these with your own copy of sx1 :)

Anyhow, make sure any version you purchase comes with this small blue usb dongle key. Again, make SURE it comes with it because some people sell on thier as 'Cubase SX with software dongle EMU' and shit like that, which basically means its the cracked version.

Ask for a photo of the usb dongle key if they dont have one listed on the auction.

Any auction that seems to good to be true or to cheap will more than likely be a cracked version for sale.
