Last thing I got from there was a storage bench (bit like this one: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/store...roductId=25909 )

Got pretty much my entire CD collection of about 400 in there and I sit on it whilst doing choons on my laptop. Good shit :)

Ikea kicks buns! The whole concept is great. When I moved out to a new apartment with my fiance I bought a whole bunch of furniture there, you can even get a decent and pretty cheap credit account, so you don?t have to buy stuff piece by piece. The sofa, cubes and tv stand and the boxes are from Ikea. The tv stand costed something like 40€ and the sofa was 720€.

To me its totally rational to buy eg. a good looking and cheap sofa. It?s true that it wont last decades, but then again, who the hell would like to have same furniture for that long? There?s gonna be so much ass sweat on the couch by that time that even most expensive milloin dollar couch well be useless.

Nice setup there, Bro! What are those black things at the bottom of your TV stand?
Are those baskets instead of drawers?

Also, what in god's name kind of super black box is that next to your TV?
It looks huge!

Is it a WinXP Media Center super PC or something like that?

Cheers,

-Alex

They?re also from ikea, cardboard boxes with black glossy finish, about 1€/piece. And you got it right, they?re instead of drawers.

The black box is Harman/Kardon surround amp.

The things on the wall are carpentered by me. Behind the small vertical splinters theres damping material, so basically the idea is to work as a small diffusor and make a rental apartment echo even a bit less. As I made it myself, the cost was 25€ per piece.
