Tomer=Trance 11.03.2004 07:55 PM

303lovesit 11.03.2004 09:06 PM

Hollowcell 11.03.2004 11:51 PM

I use waves, but I'm itching to get a hardware compressor - maybe once my analogue faze wears off a little I'll buy one.

Yes, Waves C1 compressor is really good. When you get the package you actually get a suite of compressors and side chains and all sorts of goodies

Sunesha 12.03.2004 05:14 PM

Uad-1 Fairchild, 1176 and la2a does all the work here

303lovesit 12.03.2004 05:15 PM

yeah waves c1 is my prefered one by a long shot but for beats and percusion i usualy use the blue compressor as its nice and CPU freindly but use waves c1 for bass, synths ect!

Just intrested to know what all you guys use

303lovesit 12.03.2004 05:18 PM

Can anyone tell the difference between a good software compressor to outoutboard compressors?

Tomer=Trance 12.03.2004 05:57 PM

old hardware compressors with dont know the name for it in english sort of like light thingy
give the sound more warmth and color
in the way of working they all work the same way its just how it sound after you prosses it that matters doesnt it? :wink:

most of the hardware compressors on the market are still analog arent they?
