Spectratronics Atmosphere

How 'bout this?

An?one have it?

ten 26.06.2005 04:46 PM

Yep, love it. Lots of evolving texured sounds, lots of original sounds. Can do great pads/strings/leads/effects and more.

ten

MADSTATION 26.06.2005 04:52 PM

It's actually really, really good IMO.
Sounds aren't really tweakable but there's lots of them and they sound very usable.

techno_7 26.06.2005 05:01 PM

So you guys think its worth the 400 dollars?

ten 26.06.2005 05:03 PM

I dont think its worth $400 but it is good. Try and get it 2nd hand or in a store deal if you can.

ten

Merlot 26.06.2005 05:14 PM

Own it! I would venture to say it is one of my most used AU's!

Lucky for you. But do you think its the money worth? Because i might have to expand my budget to afford it but if its really worth it i'll buy it now. It just gets kinda expensive considering the Denmark shipping. And if i buy it in denmark its around 450 or such.

Depends! Are you loooking for pads, atmospheres? If so, this can not be beat. Ultra focus may come in a close second though. Go to www.spectrasonics.net and listen to the demo's. WHat you hear is what you get.

techno_7 27.06.2005 05:17 PM

I have heard the demos, and i find it quite good. And i think that pads and ambiences are missing in my music. I have the virus for leads and such and other vstis for other purpouses but i never heard so good atmospheres and pads. Whats this "ultra focus"?

saba 27.06.2005 06:51 PM

Atmosphere is fantastic. Buy it, buy it now.

Tomer=Trance 27.06.2005 07:24 PM

a decent sound module will cost you much more then atmosphere and i must say atmosphere is much more then decent.

Merlot 27.06.2005 07:45 PM

ultra focus

Drammy 27.06.2005 09:00 PM

I would suggest looking into buying the threesome in some sort of deal (they can be found here and there on the web) - i.e Trilogy and Stylus RMX as well.

That would certainly be money well spent (depending on your existing tools for bass and percussion)

Agreed. I own them all and use them in about every song I make.

DJTOMMYBOY 22.08.2005 03:56 PM

IMO its one of the bests Au synths in creation. I love it and use it often.

techno_7 22.08.2005 03:59 PM

Atmosphere is amazing :)

Trance Explorer 06.10.2005 06:26 PM

I have used it and would say its worth the money for sure. As someone else said above.. you could spend alot more on some other synths (hard or soft ware)

its very good value imo

more than just the pad sounds, most people dont realise it has tonnes of synth lead and bass sounds also.

Trilogy is cool too

i havent used stylus but would like to give it a try

Doc Jones 06.10.2005 08:07 PM

I agree with all of the above - I own all three RMX, Trilogy and Atmosphere and they are all well worth the money spent. The new RMX 1.5 update is unbelievable!!

dragonfly 07.10.2005 01:17 PM

i would take the USB Ultra focus ;)

Hmmmm...this is disturbing.

I saw two listed on eBAY.

I emailed one buyer and asked if he knew the stipulations of license transfer. He replied "Don't worry about it, it's a crack." <ID10T>

The other said that it is possible to transfer but with a $50 fee to Spectrasonics.

So, I am going to follow up with them to find out as I would love to pick this one up for less than $4 hundred US...

Cheers!

Alex,
Make sure you follow up sith spectrasonics. There is a fee, and I am not sure they allow you to upgrade on a license transfer. Make sure of everything before buying.

Peace

Give me a fuckin break! You do whatever you want, i could really give two shits. The problem is you are encouraging other people to do it. Do you see anybody else on this forum doing that or agreeing with you for that matter?

nvisibl 12.08.2006 06:22 PM

Take your self righteous ass in hand and shove your head right back up it Merlot.

I wouldn't patronise anyone on here by directly implying that they cannot think for themselves in the way that you have implied, and that somehow anything that I said would lead them to carry out some dirty deed or another.

I don't think that downloading hooky software from the internet is some new phenomenon of which internet users here or anywhere else are unaware of either. Nor do I believe that anyone who participates in this forum has never ever infringed upon copywright violations of some sort, especially through the utilisation of the WWW.

Your replying further with any adverse emotional projection directed towards myself will leave me with no choice but to hunt you down and cut your little balls off and give them to a Spanish dancer to place between their castanets as they dance the fandango.

Aside from such, do take it easy and enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

Khazul 12.08.2006 06:34 PM

But there are some (well at least one) here who for various reasons maintains a very clean house (clean enough to 'cast stones') and would be quite happy to see promotion of warez/piracy etc come under legal incitement to commit and crime and/or conspiracy to commit crimelaw, and be punishable with similar jail terms.

Dont do it, Drammy may also chime in to say that promotion of piracy/warez maybe outside of AUP for this forum.

Basically some of us do earn a living from software and/or media production. Promotion of piracy undermines that living.

nvisibl 12.08.2006 06:53 PM

All software I have at present is legit, I like it that way and appreciate having a fully working licensed copy of which I can obtain support if need be form the manufacturer. Though I wont say that I have never infringed upon copywright in certain ways before. I have downloaded MP3's and the odd movie here and there. Also, I do myself earn from media production and have witnessed a lot of people ripping off my stuff thorughout the years.

Though if I had a say in wether any one of these people were to go to jail or not then I would say NO, as in this digital day and age it's pretty much the unavoidable nature of things and often a double edged sword too, which can both serve to promote as well as undermine any artistic or engineering endevours.

Perhaps a new thread for this age ol debate?

Khazul 12.08.2006 07:34 PM

LOL - maybe - but it tends to end up in flame wars usually :)

LOL! Another internet Gangster! That is seriously funny (I am seriously laughing!

Anyways, why not give credit where credit is due and pay for it?

nvisibl 12.08.2006 08:23 PM

Quite a talent you have there to laugh whilst serious. Schizophrenia? Your response is better this time, thank you, the first one sucked as i'm sure you realise.

Everyone is free to do whatever they like, whenever they like. I see no sense in adopting anything similar to an "Oh ah, your bad, I'm going to tell the teacher on you" attitude. Though I do support ones right to responsible action if they are directly affected and feel the urge to do something about it.

If people want to download cracked software, MP3's or anything else as such then its their call, if not then thats their call too. Nothing anyone says is going to change their mind, unless they are sheep like and are unable to think for themselves.

Its more up to the industry to finance the research into the sorting out of any issues, and so pressure or complaint should be directed towards them.

Thats said, and in the forum context here, I run a forum myself and operate a non copywright violation policy with regards to content and the sharing of files and such. But I wouldn't stop people from talking about anything related to it even if they were the worlds number 1 application cracker. I don't attempt to employ such levels of control over other people, as that in itself is further futility in action.

'ole!

MADSTATION 12.08.2006 08:43 PM

nvisibl: I personally think it's very important to educate people regarding software piracy. Most people just don't realize how bad it is for the industry.
