Virus TI synth of the future!

"Remember when the Roland TB303 came out... People bought it along with the 606 and sent the 303 back or sold it of cheap thinking it was rubbish. Now look at the 303 and how rare and sort after it?s become. The Virus TI is the same breed... Its going to flop first like the 303 did then come back and kick you're ass, mark my words"

Hypersaw and TI will get the better of us in the end

nutekk 24.10.2005 01:39 AM

wow do you really think it will
flop?

2015 the unstable arp sounds create a new genre?

MADSTATION 24.10.2005 03:42 AM

nutekk 24.10.2005 03:46 AM

That's true, we don't think that kind of hiccup is musical but in the future people will bug out to it.

Khazul 24.10.2005 08:57 AM

Ive allready thought of running a record loop to try and sample the TIs crash glitch :)

Hehe, made me actually laugh out loud! Classic.

Still though, the bugs will probably be ironed out and all this worry will have been for nothing.

On the other hand...

If they don't get the flaws out, then just the returns will probably put Access under.

Has the TI flopped? I didn?t think it had. Still I don?t expect that the TI will be a future classic any more than Windows 3.1 or 386 processor was. It's the ?TI? part that will likely ensure it won't be. When buying hardware designed to be connected to a computer people usually seek hardware that is compatible with the OS and software that they are running. Most musicians prefer to use up to date hardware to run their studio software on; since it's unlikely that Access will still be providing software updates for the TI in 10 to 15 years time it?s unlikely that the TI will continue to function as a VST. This will make it far less appealing to most would be buyers.

Digital Arp Glitch genre, hoho, chuckle, chuckle, nice one. :)

...What a DAG. (one for the aussies)

In the year 2018:
Accualy i was talking to my close friend bill (gates) recently when he came to visit me in my 35 milion dollars country house.
he was telling me of some of his future products including the "Microsoft Va",which is a Shista (4th generation vista OS) based by dementional synthesizer which is implanted inside your brain for true TI (total intergretion) & he also told me about the release of Microsoft Cubase Sx 7.0 (they eventualy bought steinberg to compete with apple over the Pro audio software market).

and then we went back into the house for a nice afternoon tea.

Rather sick

Oh it will... just like in the way today we use Kentons to controll our 303's and analogues. There will be an interface with software made by someone. Reasons are that once people start to play with this synth using the TI functions and find the magic hidden inside the demand for it will be there. I'm sure lurking inside this synth is a sound that is going to start a whole new generation of music, in the same sort of way the 303 did. Don?t go on the presets with this baby.

I take my hat of to the guy at Access who had this dream.

PS:How many Polars did Kraftwerk buy i wonder?

Although perfect for other genre's, I think the entire Virus line of synths will be remembered most famously for it's involvement in the trance genre.

A shame really ;)

Hold on... Are you saying that Trance is the most popular sort of Electronic music, or that the Virus is the most popular among Trance producers? :D
