New Colaboration tracks.

OK, just though I'd post a couple of tracks to get some feedback from you fuckers.

Myself and a good mate of mine in Ausi (Jason C.) have began to get stuck into some colaboration work.
Our project is called Rhythmus Im Blut.

Basicly these two tracks spawned from two of my tracks which I completed last year (some of you who know my tracks may recognize bits and peices). Although there are a few sounds, a few riffs and some beats of mine, these are well and truley Jason's works. He was in total control and I think it paid off.

Tracks are here.

Hey mate!

Will have to wait a while until I get a good listen, internet is down in the Studio.

Looking forward to hearing it!

Hollowcell 09.02.2006 05:47 AM

When ever you have time mate.
There are two tracks there at the moment, but more on the way! :D

Tomer=Trance 09.02.2006 10:23 AM

i realy like "rommel" but i think the Mixing lacks...
it sounds very "closed" and too over loaded in the lower end compering to upper range.
a bit centered,i would like to hear it a bit wider and punchyer, aspcialy the drums.

good work there.

Hollowcell 09.02.2006 11:12 PM

Considering how much shit you usually sling on anything I'm involved in Tommer, you must have really liked this stuff.

Thanks for listening mate. Appriciate the feedback as always. :D

Listening Now!

Rommel - I like the lo-fi vinyl sound in the intro. Diggin the synth work. Nice drum programming HC, overuse of the roll though!

Dorsel - On my setup that bass is sounding nice. Synth? Sounds dark and moody. Diggin the chopped vox in the intro. The female vox sounds maybe a half step too high in here beginning words. Autotune that! Great human feel on the drum programming.

Questions are:

1) Gearlist used?

2) How do you do your drum programming? Piano roll? step-sequencer?

Bloody horse penis myspace.com.. I can't get it to work! I'll try it later though since i am not in the mood trying to figure it out what's wrong with it..

I am so tiiiiired..

Hollowcell 13.02.2006 10:31 PM

Damn Horse's penises too! Hehehe.

We set ourselves up on electromancer now as well 303.

Gear used is a hard one as I'm in Japan and he's still in Ausi, but I can give a rough list.

Nord 2
Nord 3
Nord Micro modular
Kawai k5000
Virus C
Emu sampler
Akai sampler
RS7000
Reason3
Cubase
Various plugs and outboard

Drum programming....
Well I never step program drums at all - usually just play live for a few bars and then copy 'n' paste the audio - layer and repeat. Jason plays most of his beats live too (we used to just jam live together in Aus), although I can't speak for everything he layed down in these tracks.

Thanks for the feedback Merlot. :D

this KICKS ASS! awesome sound design. great production. original programming.

chuck norris could use this as his warm-up music before killing off a small country with his roundhouse kicks to the face.

great job hollo!

Thanks for listening Xerxes! :D I've given your CD a single listen too, but I'll reply to your thread after I listen a few times (great on the first run though).

I can't take all the credit. Jason C is definitely the driving force behind these 2 tracks.

RUDY

Rommel (Err.. Mein der ich eine bier bitte, Jawoll!): I really like the intro - it has a really nice lofi-effect and later turn into a Prodigy/NiN-sounding track. It's brilliant track and when the kick hits.. Ohh! Great stuff. This is a definite keeper mate.

Dorsel: Cool dark bass-sound and chopped up vox. Great beats as usual. Hoho, it sounds like a remixed horrortheme music from time to time. Oh, Nova is up I better get going

..colaboration between 2 guys from the Ostland
Ostland? That means cheezecountry in swedish. hoho

Hollowcell 14.02.2006 11:04 PM

Yeah I could do with a beer too!
You're the first person to comment on our adoption of some Euro words 303. It actually happened by accident with our name, but it snowballed from there. :D

Thanks for the kind comments guys. We really appriciate getting some feedback.

MADSTATION 15.02.2006 08:30 AM

Wow! These tracks are nice and fresh. Mixing could use some work in a few areas but very interresting sound. Love it!

jasedee 15.02.2006 12:10 PM

OK, internets back up in the studio...

Wicked beats as always mate... Very Prodigy'ish if I may say so, or more like some Chemical Brothers stuff.

Nice work!

Hollowcell 15.02.2006 12:16 PM

Thanks for taking the time to listen and thanks for the kind words Mad.

Yep, the mix/levels aren't final (Jason mentioned he was getting files ready for a remix session). But, there are new tracks in progress, so the updated versions probably won't end up online.

Anyway, thanks again and keep those releases coming Mad. :D

EDIT: Thanks Jase. (you must have posted just as I was writing this). Like I said though, I can't take all the credit for these. Jason's beats are all the way through these. Credit where credit's due.
