What Virus you have?
That is the idea, lets see what Virus have every one.
I Virus Classic Desktop. |
I have a soon-to-be-obsolete TI kb :)
|
Snow TI here.
|
Indigo 1. Gotta luv those blue LEDs.
|
I have a TI Keyboard, too. Is it really going to be obsolete soon? I haven't even learned how to make a decent sound with it yet!
|
I have a TI Polar. I almost got the full keyboard instead, but I wanted something that could sit in front of my monitor and be a main controller/computer controller. The three-octave design is great - not too big, not too small.

Dont worry guys about the TI, you have a powerful top on the line synthesizer solid German tank with top technology and extremely clear sound, if is discontinued this beautiful instrument still useful for play and music composition even create you very own patches and instruments, the TI is the first generation of full integrated synthesizers of Access and have one space on the hall of the fame.

I am SO SICK OF MY VIRUS!!!! I can't wait to throw it in the garbage.
As soon as I got it, I made 10000000000000 sounds and made every song possibly song you could imagine and released 7000000 albums full of the freshest imagination on the block. I then bought 10 TIs and thought, now maybe I can make some decent music. But alas, I needed more. I bought stock in access and rolled around in over 50 TIs... then I was happy... for a week. All in all... I think I will more than happy with my "obsolete" TI for a while. BTW.... My Jupiter 8 is totally obsolete too. I tried to plug in the USB cable to it yesterday and my cat looked at me like I was crazzzy. Love you assholes. |
had my new TI Polar 3 months now, keen to use it in combination with my analogue Roland SH-2.
|
had a Virus B when they were first released , had a Ti for the last year and I'm considering getting the full multi licence powercore version sometime shortly
|
My latest addition is the Virus Ti Keyboard.
Now my neighbors think I've opened a dance club next door, or some weird alien stuff is going on from all the new sounds! |

Started out with a virus c and then upgraded to a TI desktop when they came out. Still just scratching the surface with this beast.
|

|
TI desktop, and it actually TI's now which is cool.
|
I have a TI I made out of construction paper and works perfectly.
|
I picked up a copy of "The Dark Knight" special edition on Blu-Ray tonight, and as I was watching the special features they were showing Hans Zimmer in his studio recording the Joker theme for the movie soundtrack.
At one point they cut to a scene of him working with a cellist, and low and behold, you see the back panel of a Virus TI Polar in the background! So, I'm putting in a shout-out for Hans Zimmer - he has a Virus TI Polar. :) |
Hans Zimmer
there is a story about Hans on the Access website if you are interested....
|
a good old virus B desktop. I love it!
Regards, Lorenzo |
Ti desktop, soon with OS3!

This is going to be a bit of a story, but here it goes...
I'm 20 years old and have tried to compose music since I was 15 or so. One day, I too, was looking for a VST or THE synth that made that fantastic "trancelead" sound (now known as the Supersaw), even though it may be "old" I am still in love with it :P Of course I ventured into the depths of the Internet and I soon found out that the Roland JP-8000 ultimately was the synth I should be looking for, but no one was willing to sell that one at the time. I continued my search for alternatives and ended up with the fact that I really wanted the real deal, no VST lookalikes, just a normal hardware synthesizer that I could program my own sounds with. I began looking for a used Virus C, but I soon realized it still was a little too pricey for my economy back then. My first synth ever got to be a secondhand Virus A about 2 years ago, I loved it then and I still am in love with it while I use it especially for basses. One more year flew past me while learning the synth and having great fun with it, and during that time I found myself getting hooked on shopping synths, preferable any Viruses to be precise... I had that year managed to purchase (all secondhandly of course): The Virus PoCo with multiple DSPs license, Virus C (Indigo 2) and incredibly enough, a JP-8000! It really is great fun to hook up all the synths either by layering them and jamming or just using them to a point where they complement eachother really nice in a sequenced kind of project. Utimately, I realized I may have been was a bit old-fashioned regarding my synth choices and began to look at the TI, which was and still is very expensive! Then the Virus TI Snow came along at half the price tag, carrying with it... the Hypersaw... Damn, I thought, I'm living with my parents and I'm earning quite a bit anyway. Why not, it's just a small box that makes interesting sounds and could be hooked up to the computer to make interestings sounds even faster for around 900€, right? :D So now I sit here with a Virus TI Snow (OS 3.0beta) and all the other synths I previously bought. I have to say that the Virus series is definitely unique synths. I mean, there are tons of features (still counting!), but it's still managable to program once you've got to know them (even the Snow, which basically is to be programmed through the menus!). The TI concept really makes sound designing a breeze, I even took backups of the older Viruses and easily saved them on my computer via the MIDI interface of the TI Snow. I'm still amazed of having the backwards compatibility that the newer Viruses offers while simply improving my old patches! Again, I'm only 20 years old so my experience with other synths is not that influenced yet. As I try to see the strenghts in every single one of them, I don't have the heart (or the need) to sell them just yet so therefore I am the proud owner of these: - Virus A - Virus PowerCore - Virus C (Indigo 2) - Virus TI Snow (- Roland JP-8000) <-- As it was the main reason for why I began looking for the Access Virus I think it deserves to be mentioned in the list. My main initiative was to make/clone/emulate known sounds, but after I got to know the synths better by each day, amazing inspirations arised to make my own styled sounds... Layering either synth together really is a rewarding technique. Too long? I'm sorry about that, I just felt I needed to express my feelings for these beasts, which definitely works for more than just trance sounds :P |
I have a TI Snow.... :)

TI Snow here. The only tangible bit in my music setup! :p

TI desktop here and I find it nearly perfect, probably with an exception of arpeggiator, which could be significantly better, if it had programmable note numbers for chords in each step. of course, I'd prefer keyboard version, especially if it were TI2 ;)
|
TI Polar here. A nice combination of profile, keyboard and good looks. Enough sounds and features to keep me occupied for the rest of my life.
|
I have a Virus Classic (the little red sports synth) which is on holiday at a friends studio. I sold my Virus A to get that, they were used on all my D'n'B.
I use Virus Powercore, Virus C, and Virus TI on the Desktop. I never got a Keyboard version as I've never found anything with better feel and response than my Korg Z1 and DX7 Mk2. I guess I'm just used to them. Er, how do you spell fanboy btw? |
Virus Powercore and Virus TI Polar here.. :)
used to have virus b and c desktops + kc but sold them long time ago.. no of those in the studio at the same time tho  |
