!!ACCESS VIRUS~TI ACID TEST!!

Lets here some positive stuff about the TI.

:What are its strong points :?:

I sounds like a virus.
I know how to use it.
I can get some more bite than my virus b on it.
Awesome quality sound outputs.
It's heavier than the virus b :)
If you persevere with the bugs you can get that extra sparkle in a final mix than the virus b. (hey, I never had the virus c so of course the analog filter mode and the eqs make a difference to me)
Bugs aside the Virus Control is WaY tOo handy indeed.

grs pretty much nailed it.
Bugs aside (and they will eventually be taken care of)
For me, the sound of the TI is amazing and the Virus Control is becoming indispensable.

its possible to base an entire performance appone a virus TI since it generate a huge amount of voices and has seperate fx for each part.
too bad they didnt include an ADAT in\out.

still,im not going to spend 2000$ on a synthesizer no matter how good it is.

than you will never own a top of the line synth.
neuron, andromeda, TI, roland_V are all ~$2k

yeah i guess so. :)

2nd hand stuff off ebay might be more fairly priced.

Without wanting to repeat the marketing blurb, though much of which is totally valid (polyphony, hypersaw, filters etc.)...

* The operating system and navigation are very intuitive. Everything is right at your fingertips.

* It sounds awesome (never let us forget this crucial fact). I managed to get a better bass sound (subjective, I know) than my 101 in a couple of minutes without even trying.

* The arpeggiators... ahh, the arpegiators

* Err... this one might seem a little weird, but I really like the big blank bit of space on the keyboard version. I'm not just being Zen here; It's a great place to put your computer keyboard.

* The keys on the keyboard version are a joy to play

* Dedicated effects section for each part in multi mode. Genuine multi timbrality at last.

* 512 user patch locations. You can dedicate a whole bank just to loading up a new set. I've got two where I dump my favourites, and the other one for edited sounds. Hey, with 4 banks of 128 to play with, you can get pretty creative with your organizing skills.

OK. That'll do for now.

Oh, and don't forget... it's one of the best LOOKING synths on the face of the earth.

Unless you have a Polar to look at the desktop is just a pretty naff brick with hard to read red shift functions on black and dark grey.

I used to say that...

Now I have a Virus TI K, V-Synth, Motif ES R and a Roland V-Drum kit - oops! :)

Dont regret one penny of it :D
