EWI 4000S + Virus Snow Ti problem

Hi everyone . I'm a new one on this forum and I hope that someone can help me. I bought EWi 4000S and Virus Snow and I have BIG PROBLEM with setup (connect) them by MiDi . Virus works fine with a regular Midi keyboard as a controller for the TI Snow, and EWI works fine with another synth (KORG), but when I'm connecting Virus Snow to EWI and play a note, Virus (after 2-3 seconds) produces strange low sounds and stops reacting to any changes. Do You know what can cause the problem? Can someone give me some advise?
Best Regards from Poland

Probably best contacting Access support mate. They are normally quite helpful.

Hi. Again. I talked with guys from access but they don't know what to do with this problem. It is interesting because EWI is working fine with VIRUS C, so I think problem is in TI system. When I want to connect them directly by midi every TI simply doesn't work. When I use midi interface (or audio) to connect EWI with Macbook Pro I can use the sounds from Virus Control in Logic Studio and it's working fine. I tried the same things with Protools and it's also work's fine. Problem is only when I want to connect them directly. I also tried to turn off all midi controllers from EWI and leave only note on/off like regular keyboard but nothing change. If someone has any thoughts or ideas.....I'm waiting. Thanks'

same problem

Hello, I tried EWI 4000S with SNOW and i confirm the very same problem you have. It's very strange, the behaviour is cahotic. Some notes don't stop and even the "panic" button on Snow doesn't work, so you need to reboot ! I a very desaponted becasue I bought an EWi with intention to connect it to the SNOW, whic is the only expander I use. So if you have found some way to fiw this I would be very interested........

if you record the midi events generated by the EWI into a sequence and send that to support we might be able to get a clue of what's happening there.

best, marc

Hi Again. About one week ago I have chance to try Ti Snow with Yamaha WX5. it's very interesting because it was working almost perfect. (I think sounds from Snow needs a little edit to work with wind controller). But... There wasn't any problems with midi connections, strange sounds weird behavior....etc.

Hi. I see that I'm not alone with this problem.:( I'm thinking about Midi Soloutions Product.http://www.midisolutions.com/. They are not to big or to expensive and maybe, they can behavior like logic or protools.

Hmm.....I send the midi events from EWI to Access Support a few months ago (in logic file). I talked with a very nice guy, Jörg but he couldn't help. If you still want this logic file with midi event from Ewi, please let me know. Thank's
