TI newb question. Storing patches

Why is it that you can only store your edited patches on ROM A-D? Why is there all this left over "empty" room from RAM T-Z? I don't want to overwrite anything on the synth. Is there a way to save your sounds on ROM? My synth didn't come with a manual. Only a quick start guide. If you don't want to explain such simple questions, tell me where I can get a more comprehensive manual?

When you installed the software did it come with the manuals?

Yes, which one should I read for the stated question?

Um I cant remember as I have never done it - you use Virus Control Center to Burn banks to ROM I believe. There's an existing thread in the forums if you have a search. GL :).

Thanks! Any more info from other users would be appreciated. Any really great manual for programming analog synths would great. Geared for the the virus, or not. Something for an amateur would be nice.

I have exactly the same problem - and I know my virus inside out. It's very annoying! I think they meant to put all of the patches in the ROMS and leave the RAMs blank; but they forgot. So instead, you have ROM A-D to put your user patches in (and of course that overwrites the patches that are in there).

It would be nice if they made a fix for this.
