right now i have a SBLive!! and it is a real crap! gaps at the beginning of the recordings, midi latency, a quality that sox, it often crashes when i have more than 3 stereo channels... a nightmare!!! buuuuut ... on next tuesday i'll get an audiophile!!! :D

I'm using a Wavelab 192-L with the MIO/DIO addon. It's on the cheaper end of the scale but it suits my needs. Would be great if it had a break out box tho (I hate crawling under the desk)...

I wonder when the much anticipated M-audio Firewire 410 will finally be available. It has been delayed and delayed... That could suit my needs/future needs pretty well if it works as it should. My mind is set on a Powerbook G4 and this interface :P

Right now i use a PC and Terratec 6fire 24/96, fairly good sound quality but it has some strange problems.

I currently use a M-Audio Delta 10/10. I used to have a Audiophile 24/96....and they too are a real great sounding card. You'll get great recordings and very low latency from the Audiophile.

If you guys want a budget, pro-sounding soundcard....then I seriously recommend you use the Audiophile. In my opinion nothing compares to it at that price. You can pick them up 2nd hand for about ?80 ($120).

The 10/10 sounds awesome.....and because all of the converters are housed in a 19inch rackmount I get ZERO noise on my recordings. The 10/10 sounds very warm, very accurate and sounds really professional. For $800 I kinda expect it too hehe.

Check them out:

I have an RME Multiface. It was pretty expensive, but it's quality.

I think it's a jungle when it comes to soundcards. The reason why i'm asking is because i'm planning on buying a new mac(G4) and i need a new soundcard.

Im using the Delta 10-10 LT. Does the job, exact same as the 10-10 except you dont get the rackmount. Good sound quality, no noisy recordings, good latency. It can be used for 5.1,6.1 or 7.1 surround sound aswell, but never used it.

Before that I used a audigy which is was a good card aswell, its still being used but now for games 8)

hey blank what games do you play. Any online shooters?

:D
