P.O.S. - Amnesiac sound
Hello :)
Can anybody tell me how I can make such sound as in this mp3... (57K) http://sdesign.bel.ru/uploads/pos_amnesiac.mp3 Thanks :) |
Seems like a distorted fifth sound with some sync (maybe a bit of FM also).
|
juno from A&B said it was all software...
and what software can do the virus can do even better :) juho what do you mean by "fifth sound" |

Osc1 +0 and Osc2 +5 for example. That sound in the clip can also be a seveth. |
I've tried to recreate this sound on my NL3 and made something similiar.
It is a seventh sound. I've applied some sync and some FM... |
I was wondering about this 5th and 7th sounds. Are the values of the osc corresponding to a semi-tone? What are some good values to off set your oscs at?
|
I was wondering about that sound, I presume you mean the long distorted sound in the middle. A&B use it (or similar) alot. I did think this thread was going to be about the lead sound in this song, also somthing I'd like to know how to make. 8)

I can see 5, 7, 12, 24(a combination of 5 and 7). Why 18? What about multiples of 5, 7, and 12?
What about a 4? I would assume 4 since it is the first above the fundamental in a chord. I'm asking because recently I have been experimenting with osc tunings in patches, and practicing some chords. Especially since I heard that wicked pad by you Juho. And no I'm not going to try to recreate it. |
4 is a major sound
3 is a minor :) As your chords are always change in song, 7 (12, 19, 24) is more suitable. |
