Roland RS-70
The price of RS-70 has dropped so I can afford it. Now I'm concerned that what's wrong with that synth. There's something fishy in it if you can get a keyboard synth with price of a module (XV5050). There's 64 megs of ROM samples in the RS-70 but somehow I have a feeling that it's full of not-so-good samples, though they said at Roland that the synth has Fantom and XV level sounds.
Has anyone tried that one out yet? It seems to be so new that I haven't found even single review about it. I'm going tomorrow at local music store to check do they have RS-70, (which I doubt) so that I could test it. The demos were flat and boring as usual and somehow I got an image that the drums aren't even multisampled. Maybe the ROM is full of hip-hop loops for the incapable home MC's.
