Organising patches into Custom Banks
I've never used Sounddiver.
Can you extract patches from banks and organise them into your own 'personal' custom banks with it? If so, is Soundiver the best program for this? Are there any freeware librarian-type programs that can do this? BTW, I have a Virus B Cheers |
Borgstation
Well, to answer my own query, I found a freeware program called Borgstation.
A freeware synth librarian that works for all Viruses. It does exactly what I wanted. It can drag and drop patches from existing Bank files (.mid) to create your own custom Bank which can then be saved and/or loaded into your Virus. If anyones interested - http://www.borgstation.com/ |
Use SoundDiver. Its specially made for that aswell as remotely editing patches.

Besides, I'm not really bothered with PC editing of patches....that's what the knobs are for  Cheers anyway |
Sounddiver doesn't work properly, it can't even locate my virus.

The only thing I can't get it to do is load banks and Patches directly from my Virus B. Not sure why. As I have all these already saved on my PC as .mid files though this isn't really too much of a problem. |

SOUNDDIVVVVERRRR. :D
When it starts pres ESC to stop it from checking the midi ports. Then goto into options and into the interface menu and deselect check midi ports on startup. Then goto the install window and add the virus model you have manually, dont let it search for it. Goto the setup window, double click the virus and the device window will appear. On the left select the midi port your virus is connected then try to request a patch. :D |
