modulation matrix help

wll i'm a newbe and this topic has probably been discussed already, i seem to know and get around the virus kc pretty well. until the modulation matrix, this section kinda confuses me-maybe because it hard to hear the changes in sound or if your actually doing something to the patch, anyways is there anybody who could explain this section to me as simple as possible....
thanks

I?ll try to explain it as simple as possible.
With the MOD-matrix you can modulate almost anything with anything. For example you can modulate Filter-Cutoff with the LFO1. Set the source as LFO1 and the destination as Cutoff. LFO1 now controls your Cutoff. It?s like it is moving the cutoff knob for you. By twiddling with the LFO1 settings you can make it modulate your Cutoff by various different ways. You can also modulate more than one control at the same time with the same source. There is Assign2, Assign3... You can also use LFO1 as source to Assign1 and Cutoff as Destination to Assign1. And then the Cutoff as source to Assign2 and Resonance as destination to Assign2. The LFO1 now controls your Resonance through Cutoff. This is not useful but it?s only an example of what you can do with the MOD-matrix. I think you can get the idea.
The modulation matrix is very complex (at first) but extremely useful because you have free hands to do (almost) what ever you like. Use your creativity and imagination.

I think this is what I needed to know also, I wasn't sure how to use to assign functions. Thanks for the help.

You also have to make sure you put some ammount on those mod matrixes to hear the change. There are three parts to a mod matrix. Source Destination and Ammount. Without one you have nothing.

Are there any tutorials for the Mod Matrix on the Virus C knocking about?
It does seem the most complex part of the Virus. A tutorial on this would probably help a lot of people.
