anyone??????????

hello right call me thick or what ever you want to  But how the hell do you make your own synths and percioun sounds out the virus!

I know you start on c127 and you get that basic sound but please can I have some tips on what to do next to get it sounding like a proper lead!!

When i start tweeking it usualy ends up sounding dull!

Also you know all the patches in the virus? well were they all made from that original c127 sound??

Coz if they were how did they get a snare and hi hatts and acid sounds in there!! Can someone give me a had here coz i find it impossable to get anything as near

Thanks and please help coz im very intrested in using my own patches and just not presets!! :D

analog snares are just based on noise....
ajust the color
punch to max
lower the oscilators volume to almost nothing-you can leave some to give if more "body"
then its all filter settings
never tried synthesizing a snare on the virus tho so i dont know how good it will sound...

Try using the Programming Analog Synths on the Access site. It will get you around the Virus and show you how things effect the sound. It will also show how different parts relate to each other.

Another thing to do is check out the settings on the presets. You'lll see how they are put together.

Have patience.

Try using the mod matrix and LFOs.

i think you also need a "Subtractive Synthesis" tutorial..... search google!

Be prepared to drive yourself completely nuts  Every BC percussion snare and cymbal sound is the end result of _hours_ of obsessive tweaking. The main difficulty is that your ears get so tired of hearing the same sound over and over again - at least when you're making melodic patches you can play a tune with them!

You could always just start off with the percussion patches you already have and tweak them senseless.

or just use a good sample cd 8O !!!
