No sound - AT ALL!!! [Solved]
 

I have a Virus Rack Classic. When I turned it on this evening no sound was coming out what so ever! I've tried a lot but apparently not the right thing because there's still no sound.

Yes, there's hole through - sound should come out. All cables have been checked.

Yes, there's a MIDI-signal (icon showing) on the Virus when I press a key on my keyboard.

What might have happened? How can I get sound out of the machine again?

OK, the most important thing to do is not panick. This has happened to me before and I just turned off the Virus and turned it back on. When u turn it back on....as its booting up hold down the lfo 'shape' button (this initializes some kinda global reset).

You should get your sound back then!

I didn't know, so I failed this first step.

The Rack Classic doesn't have such a button - it's a knob which cannot be pushed.

BUT the parameter left button does the trick and IT WORKS!!!

Thank you ever so much for leading me in the right direction to solve this HUGE problem (which causes people to panic)....
