Data in the modulation matrix
After looking at certian patches i have noticed some have DATA as the source in the modulation matrix. I dont really understand what that refers to. I cannot find it in the manual.

Now I have to say: I have no idea.
Data? I can't even guess what it could be. You could try to do a small experiment: Select init patch and set that "Data" to control osc pitch by +64. Then just try out everythig and see if something changes the pitch. That's really strange source. I had't even noticed that one when I have my Virus. Do you have a C model? |

Correction: Data is CC06 - if it says any different in the manual, then it's a typo.

Thanks for the reply guys. I guess cc06 is some MIDI send other than volume? In any case its for using and external MIDI source to control that modulation setting?

I tend to use Data/CC06 in most of my patches - it's because I also own a K2000 which has a Data slider built in. More recently, controllers have all become definable of course.. -=BC |
