Keymode hold realtime MIDI control

Hi!

I was wondering if there's a way to make the Keymode go from Poly to Hold for a sound in MIDI realtime, changing it with a possible Controller?

Many thanks for help :)

I suppose you could send a Sysex string?

Surely the simplest way would be to use a sustain pedal?

I saved the part in Keymode Hold then sent it as a Sysex to the miditrack, went well. Then I saved back to Keymode Poly and sent that as a Sysex to the place when the sound was going back to Poly again but the Virus just ignores this latter Sysex and instead my other module switches from muted to channel on on miditrack8(!) (the midichannel I worked on with the Virus sound is on midichannel 1).

Why?

Ok, everything works fine now with the Virus receiving both Keymode: Poly and Hold with Sysex except for the problem that when it does so (on MIDIchannel 1) it also unmutes my other synthmodule on MIDIchannel 8 (so I have an unwanted sound on my synthmodule on MIDIchannel 8 ).

Why? Anyone?

I still don't understand why you don't just use a sustain pedal??

Sustain paddle :P

Anyway I solved the problem myself here: http://www.waf80.de/virus/sysex.html

Controller 94 for Keymode if anyone liked to know.
