Elektron Monomachine: is it worth it?

Hi all. I'm thinking on buying an Elektron Monomachine, for around 1000?, only two months old with all the papers. I would like to know if anybody here has used/had one and what were their impressions.

The machine looks and sounds really cool, but I dont know if its really worth it.

Please help me.

For the price, it doesn't do anything terribly unique or special. I'd look at something else.

Yeah, I agree. While I think the machinedrum is an excellent piece of kit, I have been totally unimpressed with the monomachine. I would go a different route (I WOULD pick up a machinedrum if you don't have one, they're killer).....

Thanks for the advice!

I had a monomahine (tabletop) for 3 days and it was a default piece.
It is very good for heavy leads, awesome supr saw and supr pulz. I think it had 2 subosc too. I didnt like the way you have to choose pathes.
I could'nt play it polyponically either. I didnt care about making tracks in itself, that's why i use DP4
Finally i returned it for full refund and got a G2 :D

a much better choice in my opinion.

Wow. You've actually tried out the real thing! Thee-hee-hee.

That Arturia Modular is frusturating. I don't like the interface at all. But Arturia Minimoog is completely different case.

You see this is exaclty the reason why I shouldn't read through such threads!

A few days ago I was reading this thread and now I am sitting on my thumbs waiting for my brand new Machinedrum to be shipped from Sweden.

I just cannot resist temptation! Almost as much as I can't wait to get my hands on it - god my missus is gonna go spare!
