706 euros for a piece of software is too much (well over 3000 euros for a synth is also too much).

I do agree with juho on this one, aswell do my girlfriend that also says hi to everyone on this forum

but it does offer something no other synth does a comb of sub atractive,pysical modeling and wavetable.
alot of money was invested in this project i think so for them it looks like a reasonable price. (you can sell a super high end synth in the price of an affordable one or alse it wont be so high end :wink: )

What platform will this be running on? Do u guys think this undermines the hardware version?

I still dont see what the appeal is in computer based softsynths......

i think this time will be the first time to see a softsynth that is an exact copy of the hardware version.
i think you dont like softsynths because they still sound like crap :lol:
the future is near,decent sounding analog emulators in software.

No there is the K-station/V-station too.

Basically....for the average person starting to experiment with electronic music, going out and buying an expensive analogue synth or state of the art VA is just not an option. It is much cheaper for them to buy 3 or 4 softsynths, that take up no space, and can be run from within their computers. And typically, these people would not be able to tell the difference in sound quality between a softsynth, VA, or analogue synth.

Softsynths give a wider audience access to electronic music production, and this aint such a bad thing....

I for one dont like the sound of softsynths.....but i think with the advent of DSP based Virtual Instruments and FX, the computer based softsynths and outboard emulators are only going to get better....both in terms of sound quality and functionality.

i find that nither the crowd of listeners knows the difference between software or hardware or digital and analog,just producers\musicians\synth programers etc'...
i think building a daw based on dsp card/cards and a powerful computer gives a great result. and thats the future of production studios i think.

It`ll be interesting to see how it is as the hardware version runs on an intel cpu.
